Caravan Group in partnership with Ambulances for Ukraine, aids a project spear-headed by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC), designed to provide medical equipment to regions impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Caravan has supported the Ambulances for Ukraine project in previous years and was happy to help a second time around.
“With Phase 2 off to a strong start with 4 ambulances donated from Manitoba and our first ambulance from the Prescott Russell Emergency Services in Ontario it is our hope that we will be able to secure 1-2 ambulances from every province to make it a truly national project, demonstrating Canada’s commitment to supporting those impacted by the conflict.”
Ukrainian Canadian Congress Ambulances for Ukraine project is endorsed by Paramedic Chiefs of Canada, and Phase 1 began in 2015, when four ambulances were secured from Saskatchewan and Alberta. At this stage, Ambulances for Ukraine is in Phase 2 of the project, seeking to obtain 16 additional ambulances from across Canada to be shipped to Ukraine.
Ambulances have been shipped from across Canada, including Manitoba, Saskatchew
“Building on this success we have initiated the second Phase of the project with a target of sending an additional 16 ambulances to Ukraine. We continue our efforts to support Ukraine in build capacity to transport those directly impacted by the conflict but also to assist in providing medical care and treatment in communities where their medical infrastructure has been destroyed as are result of the war.”
